Master's in Guitar & International Awards
Accepted into the Master’s program in Guitar at the Hogeschool Zuid Conservatory in Maastricht, she completed her studies with the highest honors and received awards at guitar festivals and recognition in international competitions in Spain and Germany.
2003
NUFFIC Scholarship & José Ramírez Scholarship
She received the Nuffic Scholarship granted by the Dutch government for Master’s studies and was specially recognized by the A.I.E as one of the most prestigious guitarists.

Laura Verdugo del Rey, a renowned concert guitarist and teacher, holds a degree from the Royal Conservatory of Madrid and a Master’s in Guitar from Maastricht, Netherlands. Originally from Toledo, she began her musical training at the age of 8 and excelled from a young age. With a career spanning concerts and masterclasses in various countries, Laura has also performed as a soloist with prestigious orchestras and has been a member of juries at international competitions. She currently combines her artistic work with teaching at the Katarina Gurska Higher Music Education Center in Madrid, in addition to directing the International Guitar Festival of Madrid.
